The Croft, Cambridgeshire

This new build eco-home designed by Snell David Architects in Cambridgeshire has a generous garden with lovely views out to the wider landscape. The garden design incorporates traditional elements, whilst maintaining a contemporary edge through the use of materials and modern planting design. In the back garden the two-tier lawn creates a feeling of an even more expansive space and draws your eye to the hedge and tree line beyond. The whole space is interconnected by paths to facilitate seamless movement around the garden. A simple pergola provides a place to grow roses and clematis into a flowering walkway.
The front garden required practical structuring, whilst retaining ample space for a large driveway and carport. We seeded the area of poor soil beneath the mature oak tree with wildflower perennial mixtures, and a layer of annual wildflowers for first-year colour.
