Long Farm

The gardens at long farm are situated within a larger rough-edged rural site, exposed to the elements. The plants here have to be tough and hardy and blend with the scruff of the surrounding grasses and shrubs. Clean and simple geometric lines are provided by the sleeper and crushed limestone paths which edge the borders and cut across the lawns. The planting combines evergreen and structural shrubs and grasses with more ephemeral flowering plants. Where possible, perennial species are chosen for their Winter colour and structure, allowing us to celebrate the garden in its cyclical senescence.
