For this garden, the clients needed an area to eat and entertain, with space for a lawn and borders. Together we decided to separate the garden into two areas, divided by a raised oak border. A staggered edge sandstone path helps to soften the rectilinear layout, and links each corner of the garden. For the front garden I designed a gravel garden with an open, low trellis separating it from the pavement, so the neighbours can enjoy it too.
